Nasdaq Composite ended at $17,025.88 (+0.84%)

The stock market showed a mixed performance with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite increasing as tech stocks like Nvidia, AMD, and Microsoft posted gains. However, the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased as bank stocks, particularly JPMorgan, weighed on the market with a notable decline. Moreover, it is worth noting that defensive rotation added to volatility as investors re-entered the market after the summer break. Furthermore, market participants are closely monitoring economic reports and speculating on a potential interest rate reduction by the Federal Reserve, which could affect stock performance in the near future.
