S&P 500 ended at $5,165.31 (-0.19%)

Nasdaq Composite ended at $16,177.77 (-0.54%)

The stock market witnessed mixed performances with the S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite ending in negative territory due to the profit booking in the tech sector, particularly after Nvidia’s shares dropped approximately 2%, leading to a broad sell-off in tech-related stocks. In addition, the overall market was also affected by the current uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve’s upcoming monetary policy meeting on March 19. Nonetheless, despite this, the Dow Jones Industrial Average still managed to report small gains.

Bitcoin rose by 2.77% for the day, with a value of $73,501.98 as of 3:00 PM CST, as stated by Coin Metrics.
