MARKET RECAP – JULY 24, 2023

STOCK MARKET

Dow Jones ended at $35,411.24 (+0.52%)

S&P 500 ended at $4,554.64 (+0.40%)

Nasdaq Composite ended at $14,058.57 (+0.19%)

The stock market began the week with gains across market all major indexes as investors confidence was boosted by the continuous gains experienced by the Dow Jones Industrial Average, as well as, the strong performances reported by energy stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased for a eleventh consecutive session, marking its longest winning streak since February 2017, while the S&P 500 increased as oil and gasoline futures reached a three-month high, and Chevron reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings. Moreover, the Nasdaq Composite also experienced gains, following the upward trend.

CRYPTO MARKET

Bitcoin fell by 3.37% with a value of $29,111.09 as of 3:00 PM CST, as stated by Coin Metrics.
