The stock market started off the week with some back-and-forth movement, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average slightly down and the Nasdaq slightly up. In addition, despite a minor setback, the S&P 500 managed to end the first trading session of the week positive territory, though it remained unchanged. Moreover, in regards to the current market sentiment, it remains uncertain and investors are awaiting key inflation data (consumer price index, producer price index, and retail sales reports for July). Nevertheless, it is worth noting that despite the recent volatility, there is still hope that a potential turning point had been reached after technical levels held following last week’s sell-off.
